Alan Gray Inc. is an established insurance consulting services firm headquartered in Downtown Boston. We are currently seeking a full time Insurance Auditor to support our various insurance consulting projects.
JOB
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for creating, implementing and measuring the success of:
Assist with and perform consulting engagements as directed.
Help develop and administer audit plan.
Review, analyze and collect information from litigation and claim files maintained by insured's, insurers, and/or outside counsel. Assignments typically involve asbestos, toxic tort, and environmental claims.
Review insurance defense legal bills and determine appropriate deductions based on the client's billing guidelines.
Draft reports to the client documenting the results of our review
Depending on experience and ability, the position may require project management responsibilities where the individual will direct and oversee audits and manage assigned auditors.
Develop new business opportunities through industry contacts.
Travel is frequent and is required approximately 35% of the time.
RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to Vice President, Director of Audit Services
QUALIFICATIONS:
Juris Doctorate preferred but not required
Commercial insurance experience or experience handling asbestos, toxic tort, environmental and other latent claims
Writing proficiency
Experience with MS Access, Excel & Word
Team player with professional and pleasant demeanor
Experience in a consulting, legal or other professional services firm
