About the Position
Alan Gray LLC is currently recruiting candidates for its growing Forensic Accounting Unit. The candidate will investigate business interruption/lost profit claims through a detailed analysis of financial records.
Qualifications
The preferable candidate will have experience quantifying damages claimed against commercial insurance coverage, and the following:
- BS degree in Accounting or Finance, Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification a plus
- 3 or more years of accounting and insurance-related experience
- Strong organizational skills
- Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Understanding of forensic auditing procedures
- Strong investigative and analytical skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to travel occasionally.
Responsibilities
- Gathering, interpreting and analyzing financial data to quantify damages in commercial insurance claims.
- Performing financial calculations to determine economic losses arising out of claims.
- Developing schedules and exhibits that document and support calculations.
- Drafting clear, concise reports summarizing calculations and findings.
