Qualifications
Education & Licensing
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Professional certification (i.e. AIC, CPCU or ARM) preferred.
- Adjuster Licensing is preferred.
- Experience
- Ten (10) years technical experience handling claims with increasing responsibility. Experience in multiple lines of business is a plus (Casualty, Professional, Property, WC).
Skills & Knowledge
- Thorough knowledge of claims handling best practices and procedures
- Experience utilizing software
- Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills
- PC literate, including Microsoft Office products, strong Excel skills preferred
- Leadership/management/motivational skills
- Analytical and interpretive skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform Best Practice Claim Audits; Reserve Adequacy Audits; Other Claim Issue Audits
- Analyze results and prepare reports to be submitted to clients.
- Recommend and develop action plan based on audit findings.
- Maintains technical claims and jurisdictional expertise.
- Train and Manage audit team.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform other claim unit functions as needed.
- Supports the development and growth of AG’s Claim Audit program.
- Travels as require
