Kevin F. Barber

General Background

Mr. Barber has worked in the insurance industry for 39 years. As a Senior Auditor, Kevin is involved in a variety of audit and claims management projects. Prior to joining Alan Gray LLC, Kevin was a Property Team Claims Leader at Beazley Group. There, he was responsible for the handling of the E&S commercial property claims. He was also responsible for management of the high value homeowners book of business, which included oversight and auditing of the TPA, to whom handling of claims was outsourced. Given his tenure in the industry, Kevin has held a number of management positions. As Director of Claims at First State Management Group, he was charged with the oversight and direction of property and casualty claim operations. Working closely with senior management, underwriting, accounting, actuarial and ceded reinsurance, he developed and implemented claim management strategies to meet company goals. As Deputy Director of Claims, Kevin reviewed coverage issues and provided direction on high exposure and litigated claims for all casualty lines of business.
